THE weather bureau on Tuesday said many areas in Luzon will continue to experience rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Region 4-A (Calabarzon), Region 4-B (Mimaropa), and the provinces of Bataan and Zambales.
Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In a late Monday advisory, PAGASA said Metro Manila, Bataan, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, and northern Palawan including Calamian Islands may experience light to moderate, with at times heavy rains in the next 24 hours.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire archipelago.
Pagasa forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said there are cloud clusters inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility that are causing light to moderate, to at times heavy rains.
“These cloud clusters may possibly develop into a low pressure area,” he said.
