REPRESENTATIVE Camille Villar rallied Maasinhons to continue supporting their local leaders as the city of Maasin in Southern Leyte continues to strive to be abundant and world-class.
In her inspirational message during Maasin’s 24th cityhood anniversary celebration, Villar said: “Sama-sama po nating itaguyod ang pag-unlad ng Maasin. Sana po ay tuloy-tuloy ang pagsuporta ninyo sa inyong mga lider.”
She also said: “As we celebrate your 24 years of cityhood, I hope that you are all reminded of how important the bonds of your community are, and to take pride and joy that all of you here worked so hard to achieve your dreams as a community. Let today also remind you of the beauty of your strength as people, of your strength as a city.”
“Together, we will all strive to make Maasin the abundant, world-class, beautiful city that you will all be proud of,” she added.
Villar noted how the “resilience and fortitude” of Maasinhons and the hard work of their leaders have brought progress to the city.
“Ang ganda at ang kaunlaran po ng Maasin ay hindi magiging possible kung hindi rin dahil sa inyo, mga Maasinhon, na nagsama-samang nag-trabaho at sumuporta sa mga proyekto ng inyong mga lider,” she said, adding: “Let this be a reminder of the more than two decades of collective hard work and perseverance that all of you put together leading into the development, prosperity, and progress of your beloved city.”
“No other city embodies the spirit of cooperation, unity and bayanihan than the city of Maasin. I commend all of you for this has been the instrument and key to your success as a city,” she also said.
Villar likewise urged the people of Maasin City to continue working towards the achievement of their dreams, narrating that “in my years of public service, combined with my years of experience in building our family business, I have learned a few things about success.”
“How do we get to the direction we are aspiring for? Una, mangarap ka. Start with a dream and begin with a plan. The kind of plan that you will tirelessly work for— together,” said Villar, a deputy speaker at the House of Representatives while also serving as the CEO of ALL Value Group and managing director of Vista Land.
