
REPRESENTATIVE Erwin Tulfo and the ACT-CIS partylist have donated 50 boxes or 5,000 capsules, of Doxycycline medicine for leptospirosis to the Angat Buhay Foundation of former vice president Leni Robredo.
The medicine will be distributed to victims of Typhoon Kristine in the Bicol region, where leptospirosis cases have been reported due to widespread flooding.
Tulfo stated that his office has received numerous calls and social media reports regarding leptospirosis cases, prompting their immediate action to gather medicine for those affected.
This donation follows the earlier distribution of 2,000 sacks of rice and P1 million from Tulfo and ACT-CIS’s personal funds to typhoon victims on October 24.
Tulfo’s office has also coordinated with the Angat Buhay Foundation to provide an additional 500 sacks of rice, with another 500 sacks destined for the town of Iriga and other typhoon-stricken areas in the Bicol region.
Furthermore, Tulfo sent P50,000 in cash to typhoon victims at San Guillermo Parish in Talisay, Batangas.
Tulfo emphasized the ongoing commitment of ACT-CIS and the Erwin Tulfo Action Center to provide assistance to those affected by the typhoon.
They are currently monitoring areas that may be impacted by Typhoon Leon and are prepared to send aid to those in need.
