BATANGAS CITY – A tricycle driver was killed instantly Thursday afternoon after being shot by riding-in-tandem gunmen in Barangay Paharang Silangan, Batangas City police reported. The victim, identified only as “Catalino,” suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The tricycle subsequently veered off the road, injuring two passengers who were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The suspects, who fled towards Taysan, Batangas, were described as two men on a black motorcycle. The driver wore a white T-shirt, and the backrider wore a light brown shirt and pants; both wore black helmets. An investigation is underway.
