THE Mobile Legends tournament made a thrilling return during the HRep Month celebration as part of this year’s multisports pocket tournament, showcasing intense battles and victories for the semifinal and final rounds on Monday.
During the semifinals, Cluster 3’s Brown Lions from the Committee Affairs Department (CAD) faced the Orange Beavers of Cluster 5 representing the Office of the Speaker, Engineering and Physical Facilities Department (EPFD), Legal Affairs Department, among others. The Orange Beavers dominated, winning the first game in 13 minutes and 24 seconds; and the second game in 16 minutes and 42 seconds.
In the other semifinal match, Cluster 1’s Azure Eagles composed of players from the Office of the Secretary General (OSG), Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS), among others, also made a clean sweep winning the best of two matches against Cluster 8’s Congressional Staff Association (CONSA) Purple Carabaos.
The Azure Eagles won the first game in 15 minutes and 29 seconds; and the second game in 22 minutes and 39 seconds.
The battle for third place saw Brown Lions competing against CONSA Purple Carabaos. The Lions secured the third spot with a swift victory in 10 minutes and 48 seconds.
The finals featured a showdown between the Orange Beavers and the Azure Eagles. In a gripping match, the Orange Beavers claimed the championship, capping off an impressive tournament run.
