AFTER a breakthrough performance in the previous conference, ZUS Coffee is aiming to build on its momentum by strengthening its lineup for the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
The Thunderbelles announced on Monday the signing of Cess Robles, Renee Peñafiel, and Karen Verdeflor, alongside seasoned campaigners Chie Saet and Rachel Daquis. Daquis, whose contract with Farm Fresh expired at the end of last season, became a free agent before ZUS Coffee secured her services.
“Let’s make it official! Welcome to the ZUS Coffee family, Karen Verdeflor, Ren Peñafiel, Cess Robles, Chie Saet, and Rachel Anne Daquis! Tuloy ang trabaho! Tuloy ang laban,” the team wrote in a Facebook post.
Robles, one of Chery Tiggo’s leading scorers, is expected to take on a major role for ZUS Coffee, while Peñafiel and Verdeflor will add depth and flexibility to the wing and libero positions under head coach Jerry Yee. PVL.PH
