LAS PIÑAS Rep. Camille Villar had a fun learning morning recently at the Balagtas Covered Court in Pamplona 1 as she narrated the story of “Langgam at Tipaklong” and inspired schoolkids of the Balagtas daycare center to already prepare for their future while they are still young.
After the book reading session and the distribution of school supplies and backpacks to the 110 young learners, the young lawmaker also turned over reading materials to the daycare center’s two teachers, who were also present during the event.
The distribution of school materials is part of Rep. Villar’s “Handog Karunungan” book donation drive, which seeks to spark the young student’s imaginations and encourage them to enjoy reading, a hobby that she has been very passionate about since she was a kid. The program likewise aims to provide local child development centers with tools to promote literacy, encourage community involvement, and foster a sense of togetherness and shared responsibility.
