A WOMAN was found dead inside a lodging house room in Mariveles, Bataan, on Tuesday, prompting authorities to search for the man who checked in with her.
According to a report by Jeric Pasillo on GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, the 35-year-old victim checked into the lodging house with a man around 2:00 AM.
However, at around 10:00 AM the next morning, a room attendant discovered the victim’s body, bloodied and with a pillow covering her face.
Several lodging house employees reported hearing an argument coming from the victim’s room before the discovery of her body.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Orbista, chief of the Mariveles Police Station, stated that the victim had facial injuries and a pillow covering her face.
Crime scene investigators are currently conducting an investigation and awaiting the results of an autopsy.
The victim’s relatives have appealed for the suspect to surrender, seeking justice for her death.
“To the man who did this to my mother, don’t hide anymore, don’t make this harder for us. Surrender. You didn’t even have mercy on us, your children, now we are without a mother,” the victim’s son lamented.
Authorities are still investigating the identity of the suspect and the motive behind the crime.
