LEMERY, Batangas Vice Mayor Geraldine Ornales shared that a thick layer of volcanic smog or “vog” emitted from the Taal Volcano enveloped parts of Lemery as of 6:30 AM on Monday.
The smog has reached to as far as Metro Manila where residents experienced poor air quality due to emissions from the Taal Volcano.
Several areas in Batangas declared class suspension due to volcanic smog and advised residents to stay indoors or wear face masks when going out.
