TWELVE transmission lines across Luzon and the Visayas remain unavailable following the onslaught of Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong), leaving households without electricity, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said.
In an advisory, the NGCP said it continues to mobilize its line crews who are currently conducting patrols, while restoration activities are being done in accessible areas.
“Please note that loss of power may be caused by affected transmission facilities of NGCP or distribution facilities of local distribution utilities or electric cooperatives,” the advisory read.
“Specific cities and municipalities affected by the power interruptions are determined by concerned Distribution Utilities, unless the outage affects the entire franchise area,” it added.
