A TRAGIC scuba diving accident in Verde Island, Batangas claimed the lives of two Russian divers on Thursday.
While four Russian divers were swept away by strong waves in the Pulong Bato area, two surfaced safely. One of the missing divers was found dead on arrival at a local hospital.
The body of the second diver was recovered hours later; a missing hand suggests a possible shark attack contributed to their death, according to the Coast Guard Batangas.
