LEYTE Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Tuesday night paid his last respects to the students who lost their lives in the tragic shooting at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City and checked on those who were injured in the incident.

Romualdez personally met with the victims’ loved ones, offering prayers and words of comfort as the community continues to mourn one of the deadliest school-related incidents in recent memory.

“Nandito tayo para kumustahin at magbigay ng suporta sa kanilang panawagan para sa hustisya,” Romualdez said.

The lawmaker said the tragedy has brought immense pain not only to the affected families but also to the entire province of Leyte and the broader Filipino community.

He assured the families that they are not alone in their grief and pledged support for justice as they cope with the loss of their loved ones.

Romualdez also offered prayers for the recovery of those injured in the attack and called on the public to unite in supporting the victims and their families during this difficult period.

Romualdez likewise expressed hope that justice would be served and that measures would be strengthened to help prevent similar tragedies from occurring in schools and communities.
