POLICE operatives confiscated a large stash of shabu during a search ordered by the court in a suspected drug den in Lanao del Sur on Thursday.
Personnel from PDEA BARMM, PDEU LDSPPO, Maguing Municipal Police Station and 55th Infantry Battalion served the Search Warrant for violation of Article 2, sections 5 and 6 of Republic Act 9165.
The court order was issued by Judge Wenida Papandayan of the Regional Trial Court, Marawi City last June 7, 2022.
Arrested during the operation was Faisa Hadji RAOF, also known as Madam—the subject of Oplan Madam and a high-value target for illegal drugs.
Other members of the Macabato drug group were also apprehended namely: Amersab Ebra Macabato, (HVT); Haji Raifa Haji Rakim Haji Rasul alias Aniya Haji RAOF (HVT).
They were all nabbed in an operation in Maguing, Lanao Del Sur at about 5:08 a.m. on June 9, 2022.
Confiscated during the operation were 1,500 grams of shabu worth P10,200,000.
“We are looking at a notorious drug group here. The arrest of their members can weaken their operation. Cases are now being readied against the drug traffickers,” PNP OIC Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said
