“POLICE investigators said the number of reported fatalities due to the collapse of a wall at a construction site in Barangay Kaybagal Central, Tagaytay City on Monday evening rose to five.
Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, Tagaytay City Police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Norman Rañon said that of the eight victims, one remained missing. kasi lahat ng biktima natin. Tatlo ang na-retrieve na — dalawa doon ay stable pa ang condition, isa ang dead on arrival sa ospital,” he said.

“Sa lima pong natirang ito ay nakita na po namin ang apat na katawan. May isa pang hindi naa-account as of now,” he added. (Of the five remaining victims, four bodies have been found. One victim has yet to be accounted for as of now.)
Retrieval operation is ongoing for the five remaining victims, according to Rañon.
According to a police report, the collapse of the concrete wall occurred at around 6:20 p.m. on Monday.
Police said victims were resting at the barracks of 3-13 Construction when the concrete fence and cement hollow blocks of Hortaleza Farm collapsed due to heavy rainfall and fell on them.
