CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga – PNP3 Regional Director Matthew P. Baccay today reported about Php2.5M worth of shabu was seized by PNP operatives during separate anti-illegal drug operations in the province and were able to arrest two suspected drug peddlers last Monday.
Mabalacat PNP’s drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Mawaque Maragul, Mabalacat City, Pampanga resulted in the arrest of Julius Mariano Guillermo aka Julius, 30 years old. A total of six pieces of heat-sealed and two pieces knot-tied transparent plastic sachets all containing suspected shabu weighing 305 grams with estimated DDB value of P2,074,000.00; one piece of android cellphone; one body bag; one (1) piece of genuine Php1,000.00 bill with 19 pieces of rolled boodle-money; and one piece weighing scale were confiscated from the suspect.
Meanwhile, operatives from the regional office and Sta. Rita Municipal Police Station arrested of Jean Dantes, 53 years old, during buy-bust operation at Brgy. Dila, Sta Rita, Pampanga wherein three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 55 grams with estimated DDB street value of P374,000.00; one piece keypad cellular phone; one pouch; one piece of P1,000.00 bill; and one weighing scale was seized from the suspect.
Appropriate charges for violations of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11, Art II of RA 9165 are being readied against the suspects for court referral.
Baccay said that the PNP is continuously conducting proactive operations against all forms of illegal drugs in the region and will continue its quest to achieve a drug-free Central Luzon.
