THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Central Visayas conducted a simulation exercise on counterterrorism in the vicinity waters off Mactan, Cebu.
During the event, Coast Guard personnel showcased their resources, capabilities, and workforce in maritime law enforcement, maritime security, maritime safety, maritime search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.
The simulation exercise was part of the Asia Counterterrorism Intelligence Cooperation (ACTIC) 2023 Expertise Exchange hosted by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) and National Intelligence Service (NIS) of the Republic of Korea.
Representatives from three observer nations—the Czech Republic, Japan, and Sweden—and the seven-member nations—Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Uzbekistan—joined the ACTIC 2023 Expertise Exchange.
