Pangasinan Hardest Hit: Over 426,000 families evacuated due to ‘Uwan’

DURING the briefing, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reported that Pangasinan was the most severely affected by flooding, with over 426,000 families evacuated through pre-emptive measures.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led a situation briefing at the PSC Command Operations Center this morning to discuss the latest reports on the government’s response to Super Typhoon #UwanPH.

During the briefing, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reported that Pangasinan was the most severely affected by flooding, with over 426,000 families evacuated through pre-emptive measures.

In response, President Marcos Jr. directed the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DOH) to continue providing assistance to those in evacuation centers. He also instructed the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to immediately begin rehabilitating damaged roads.

President Marcos Jr. emphasized the importance of continued coordination and monitoring as recovery efforts from Typhoon Tino continue.
