COAST Guard Station Western Sarangani personnel intercepted an unidentified motor banca loaded with smuggled cigarettes from Tinakarang, Indonesia at Brgy. Taliac, Maasim, Sarangani Province on May 6.
Onboard the unnamed motor banca are Indonesian nationals, namely, Mr. Fadli Machamud and Mr. Fajar Antanari. They were tansporting 20 boxes of smuggled cigarettes, with an estimated value of P600,000.00.
After undergoing investigation and medical checkup, both Indonesians were turned over to the Maasim Police Station for the proper filing of cases and the siezed items were endorsed to the Bureau of Customs for proper disposal.
