AN incumbent municipal councilor and two aspirants in Donsol, Sorsogon earlier reported missing were found dead in an establishment rented by former whistleblower Peter Joemel Advincula in Daraga, Albay, police said Friday.
One of the victims, Helen Advincula Garay, 53, was an incumbent municipal councilor of Donsol, Sorsogon, according to a police spot report.
The other two victims were identified as Karren Averilla, 44, and Xavier Alim Mirasol, 61. Both were aspirants for Donsol councilor post in next year’s elections.
Police said Advincula and his partner personally appeared before the Daraga Municipal Police Station together on Thursday night to report that he found the bodies of the victims in his rented establishment.
Authorities then proceeded to the scene together with Advincula and confirmed his information.
Advincula has posted bail for perjury case filed against him over his allegedly false statements claiming that several lawyers associated with the opposition were part of an ouster plot against President Rodrigo Duterte.
