BALABAC, Palawan – A 26-year-old man died early this morning after being attacked and bitten on the head by a crocodile in Balabac, Palawan.
According to report, the victim was harvesting sea cucumbers with three companions in the Barangay Agutayan area when the incident occurred.
Initial investigations by authorities revealed that the victim was suddenly attacked by the crocodile, which bit him on the head while he was gathering sea cucumbers.
The victim’s remains were later recovered and immediately buried in accordance with Islamic tradition.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
Last week, residents in the neighboring town of Bataraza captured a 14-foot crocodile believed to be responsible for attacks on approximately 15 dogs.
