A MAGNITUDE 5.3 earthquake rocked Davao Occidental at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, 26 February 2022, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
According to Phivolcs, the earthquake with a depth of 101 kilometers was located at 84 kilometers south of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
Intensity 3 was recorded in General Santos City and Kiamba, Sarangani; intensity 2 in General Santos City and Kidapawan City and intensity 1 in Davao City.
