AUTHORITIES discovered a sack of suspected human bones along the banks of Taal Lake in Laurel, Batangas, on July 10th, while searching for missing sabungeros.
The discovery adds a grim layer to the search efforts, which have been focused on locating individuals who have been unaccounted for in connection with the illegal cockfighting activities in the area.
According to PBGen. Jack Wanky, Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 4A, the bones were found in proximity to where Julie “Dondon” Patidongan, also known as “Totoy,” allegedly transported the missing individuals before their remains were reportedly discarded in Taal Lake.
The recovered bones will undergo examination to determine whether they are indeed human.
This development raises concerns among the families of the missing sabungeros and the local community, who are seeking closure in this troubling case.
Authorities are intensifying their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the sabungeros, as well as the potential link to the recently discovered remains. The situation remains fluid as forensic analysis and further inquiries are conducted to uncover the truth behind these alarming findings.
