FOUR people are feared buried under a landslide in Barangay Cabangaan, Silang, Cavite following heavy rains brought about by the southwest monsoon and a typhoon.

According to residents, the ground gave way suddenly. Relatives of those potentially trapped are urgently appealing for immediate response and support from authorities. The incident highlights the significant risks associated with heavy rainfall and the need for swift emergency response in disaster-prone areas.

Authorities are continuing search and rescue operations tonight for two more people missing after a landslide this morning.

The landslide buried a construction barracks located in Barangay Iruhin West, Tagaytay City.

The sudden collapse of the earth underscores the unpredictable nature of landslides, particularly during periods of intense rainfall.

The ongoing search and rescue efforts are crucial in determining the fate of the missing individuals and providing assistance to affected families.

The community’s call for immediate help emphasizes the urgency of the situation and the need for coordinated efforts from local government units, emergency services, and other concerned agencies.
