CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga- A former town mayor, dubbed High Value Individual (HVI) was arrested Wednesday morning in buy-bust operation after police authorities confiscated from him worth P476,000 of illegal drugs.
B/Gen. Rogelio “Pojie” Peñones, Central Luzon police director, said that his men conducted anti illegal drugs operation in Talavera, Nueva Ecija on December 31, 2025 resulted in the arrest of a high-value individual (HVI), identified as a former municipal mayor of Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at more or less P476,000.
He said the operating team successfully apprehended the suspect and confiscated six (6) heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 70 grams, along with the marked buy-bust money used during the operation.
PBGEN Peñones Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), said the arrest underscores the Region’s sustained, intelligence-driven campaign against illegal drugs, emphasizing that police operations remain firm, lawful, and consistently focused on protecting communities.
This operational accomplishment supports the PNP Focused Agenda of Acting Chief, PNP PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.—particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations—and reinforces PRO3’s 3Ps: Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.
