Cebu cop sacked after controversial ‘bring-me’ vlog offering rewards for drug users, pushers

Metrosundaily November 4, 2025

Cebu City, Philippines – A police officer in Cebu has been relieved from his post after posting a controversial vlog that offered rewards to viewers who could “bring him” drug users and pushers, drawing condemnation from the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to a report on “24 Oras,” the vlogging police officer asked viewers to bring him a drug user for P2,000, and a street-level drug pusher for P5,000. The vlog, which has since been taken down, sparked outrage and prompted an immediate investigation by the PNP.

“Wala ‘yan sa police operations and procedures. So the ACG and the DIDM now conduct an appropriate investigation,” said PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., emphasizing that the content of the vlog was not in line with proper police procedures.

The PNP was able to save a copy of the controversial vlog before the officer removed it from his Facebook page, which has a significant following of 400,000. In addition to the drug-related challenge, the sacked cop also had another vlog wherein he asked viewers to bring him unregistered firearms.

“Siya po ay administratively relieved. Sa kautusan po ng Chief PNP, pinag-explain po iyong taong iyon pati po ang kanyang chief of police,” said PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier Gen. Randulf Tuaño, confirming the officer’s removal from his position and the investigation into his actions.
