Ibaan, Batangas – The driver of an Alps bus was killed, and 19 passengers were injured after a trailer truck lost control due to a tire blowout and collided with the bus on the STAR Tollway in Ibaan, Batangas, on Thursday morning, December 4, 2025.
According to initial reports, the trailer truck was traveling southbound when one of its tires suddenly burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The truck then swerved and crashed into the Alps bus, which was traveling in the same direction.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured passengers. The bus driver was declared dead on the spot. The injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
