THE Quezon police reported the death of a 7-month-old baby boy who drowned and two others on Sunday after they were hit by falling trees in at the height of Severe Tropical Storm Aghon.
Reports also said that four fishermen spotted around 11 a.m. the floating body of the baby in the waters off Barangay Ilayang Polo in Pagbilao town.
Investigators found that the victim and his mother were in their shack atop a fish cage in Tayabas Bay at Barangay Punta in neighboring Padre Burgos town at the height of Aghon’s devastation.
Big waves pummeled their shelter, causing the baby to fall into the sea before being carried away by the waves.
The mother of the baby claimed the body, police said.
