POLICE are now investigating the deaths of three persons – an Australian couple and a Filipina — who were found dead in a hotel room in Tagaytay City.
The victims’ hands and feet were bound and their mouths covered with packaging tape, the Calabarzon Police Regional Office reported Friday.
The victims, identified only as David, 57, an Australian citizen; Lucita, 55, an Australian citizen; and Mary, 30, a Filipina, were discovered by the hotel staff who called the police at about 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10.
Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas ordered the creation of a special investigation task group, “SITG David Fisk,” to identify and arrest the killer.
“For now, we are conducting a thorough investigation based on the evidence that we have collected in our initial investigation. Our task group conducted backtracking of CCTV footage and follow-up investigations for the possible identification of the suspect,” Lucas said.
“Rest assured that we will provide updates on any new information that comes to light on this case. We will ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime will be held accountable,” he said.
