SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, together with Tawi-Tawi Lone District Rep. Dimszar Sali, leads the launching of the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) program to 5,000 beneficiaries at the Mindanao State University – Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography’s Henry V. Kong Gymnasium in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
A joint initiative of the House of Representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the program seeks to help indigents, senior citizens, PWDs, solo parents and IPs amid rising food prices.
Also present during the event are 95 district and party-list House members led by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr., Deputy Speakers David “Jay-jay” Suarez, Vincent Franco “Duke” Frasco, Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix’ Dalipe and other local government officials.
