CAMP BGen Paciano Rizal – Five hundred fifty-two  participants benefited in a Barangayanihan Caravan yesterday at the covered court of Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) at Camp BGen Paciano Rizal, Bagumbayan, Sta Cruz, Laguna.

This caravan, Duterte Legacy Caravan (DLC), a Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery, is a joint collaboration of the Provincial Community Affairs Development Unit (PCADU) and Provincial Health Service Office (PHSO) of Laguna PPO, Sta Cruz Local Government Unit (LGU), Sta. Cruz Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and Laguna Tourism Culture Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO) that simultaneously provided services during the event.

A total of 452 participants received their 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccines in Sta. Cruz MHO’s RESBAKUNA program, a program that encourages other people to avail the free vaccines as part of the Government’s management of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 100 beneficiaries of food packs from the women’s sector also benefited in this event.

Information, Education, and Communication (EIC) materials such as flyers against insurgency were distributed to the participants by the Provincial ELCAC team while flyers on tourism were also distributed by The Laguna Tourism Culture Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO).

Similarly, enrollment of blue card was also conducted by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).

The personnel of Laguna PPO PCADU also conducted lectures to increase the awareness of the participants on COVID-19, Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act (Anti-VAWC Law), and the Executive Order no.70 NTF-ELCAC whole-of-nation-approach.

The event was secured by the Task Force Disiplina and PNP personnel of Sta Cruz Municipal Police Station (MPS) to ensure the implementation of Minimum Public Health Standard (MPHS) while the participants secure the services of the participating agencies.
