THREE alleged cigarette smugglers were arrested in an intel-driven operation in Cabatangan, Zamboanga City.
Operatives from the RSOU9 together with RA ZC, RID9, 206 Tactical Helicopter Squadron/Intel Branch PAF, and Customs Police Zamboanga City jointly conducted the operation that resulted to the apprehension of Khan Adin, Aldin Sabtal, and Benshariff Bari.
Authorities seized 121 master cases of Fort smuggled cigarettes with an estimated market value of P4,235,000 concealed in an orange Isuzu Elf closed van.
“This wouldn’t be possible without the careful intelligence gathering of our personnel and the strong cooperation among our stakeholders,” PNP OIC Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said.
