ANGELES CITY – A private plane ride turned tragic for two students from Pampanga on Saturday, October 18.
Their Ultralight 2-passenger seat aircraft crashed in a rice field in Brgy. Panalicsican, Concepcion, Tarlac, after circling in the air, at approximately 11 a.m.
According to a report from the Concepcion Municipal Police Office, the incident was reported to authorities at 12:35 p.m., and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office personnel immediately responded.
Mayor Noel Villanueva stated that the 19-year-old male pilot, a native of Mabalacat City, and the 18-year-old female passenger from Macabebe were classmates. Both victims sustained serious physical injuries and were declared Dead on Arrival at the hospital, the mayor added.
