CAMP BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite – TWO persons died after their residential home collapsed on the onslaught of severe typhoon depression ‘Paeng’ Sunday.
Elements of Imus City Police Station accompanied by Imus City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Bureau of Fire Protection and Barangay personnel immediately proceeded to the collapsed residential home at #178 Colonel Topacio Street Brgy Poblacion 4-A, City of Imus, Cavite at about 2:45 PM of Sunday.
Initial investigation revealed that due to the continuous rain and location of the house which is beside the river, the support foundation of the house weakened that caused it to collapse.
Other survivors were able to run outside the house while the two went missing.
The survivors were rescued and identified as Josephine Reyes, 55, Shakira Shanti Abigain, 11, and Carl Yuri Caaypan, 12.
On the other hand, retrieval operations were conducted and at around 5:40 PM the team recovered the two bodies identified as Catherine Reyes, 35, and Carl Yuki Hiro Caayupan, 9.
The victims were trapped inside the collapsed structure and were immediately brought to Ospital ng Imus, Brgy Malagasang 1-G this City but pronounced dead by the attending physician.
