COAST Guard Station Davao Occidental through its Sub-Station in Jose Abad Santos successfully rescued two fishermen following a reported fire incident onboard Mbca D-Krisvyn.
Accordingly, a concerned citizen reported to Coast Guard Sub-Station Jose Abad Santos regarding a fire incident involving a motorbanca at vicinity waters of Brgy Salabayon, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
Personnel of CG Sub-Station Jose Abad Santos immediately launched Search and Rescue Operation onboard Aluminum Boat 233. Through combined efforts, they were able to rescue the two individuals, and subsequently extinguished the fire that engulfed Mbca D-Krisvyn.
The M/Bca was then towed enroute to Brgy Balangonan, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
Boat operator Agustin L Takser, 32, disclosed that while underway from Balut Island to Brgy. Balangonan they encountered an engine trouble that resulted to the fire incident.
