Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is set to face the Senate.
Senate President Francis Escudero confirmed that he has approved the request of Senate Committee on Women Chairperson Risa Hontiveros to use the plenary for the investigation into the complaints and cases facing Quiboloy.
Escudero did not mention when the hearing will take place, but he likely said it will be scheduled before the resumption or reopening of the session on November 4.
Meanwhile, the Senate President is not against the issue of Quiboloy filing a certificate of candidacy (COC) to run for senator in the 2025 midterm elections.
Escudero reminded that the mandate of the Comelec to accept applications for candidacy is ministerial.
