P3.6M ‘meth’ confiscated in Parañaque, 2 nabbed

SUSTAINING  the accelerated battle against illegal drugs in Metro Manila, PMGEN Jonnel C Estomo applauds the operatives of the NCRPO Regional Drug Enforcement Unit in consistent effort and collaboration among units of PNP Drug Enforcement Unit-Special Operations Group, Southern Police Office-District Drug Enforcement Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit of Parañaque City Police Station and Pasay City Police Station with personnel of Substation 1 of Parañaque CPS which led to the confiscation of shabu valued over ₱3.6 million and immediate arrest of the drug peddlers.

Reports said at about 9:00 PM of January 20, 2023 joint operatives conducted an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation at nr. 349 Quirino Ave corner 4 De Julio St., Brgy., Baclaran Parañaque City.

Suspects were identified as Fahima Matula @ Tita, 34, and Jhonix Casanova, 23 years old.

Seized and recovered from the arrested suspects’ possession and control were eight (😎 heat-sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and two knot-tied plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 530 grams with DDB value of ₱3, 604,000.00.

Suspects are now under the custody of RDEU for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate complaints before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s office.

“We have accomplished many but many are yet to be accomplished. We guarantee to continue the fight we have started and hold the sources liable of this illegal drug proliferation in our region,” Estomo said.
