THE remains of Pinoy worker Vincent Castelvi arrived in the Philippines on Saturday, marking the third completed repatriation of remains after four Pinoys were killed during Hamas’ attack on Israel.
The urn containing Castelvi’s remains was brought home by his wife Jovelle Santiago, who flew back to the Philippines with their one-month-old son.
Castelvi’s mother and mother-in-law were also present at the airport, along with officials of the Department of Migrant Workers, including officer-in-charge Hans Leo Cacdac.
Castelvi, 42, had worked in Israel for five years as caregiver when he was killed by the Palestinian militant group during its surprise attack on Oct. 7.
The Pampanga native was described by his family as their breadwinner.
The remains of one of the other victims — a 49-year-old Filipina caregiver — arrived in the Philippines on Oct. 21. This was followed by the repatriation of another remains on Nov. 3.
