WITH election day fast approaching, OFW Party-List Representative Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino rallied her supporters on Friday, reaffirming her commitment to championing the rights and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), seafarers, and their families.
In a spirited address, Magsino emphasized the importance of unity in the final days of the campaign.
“We are in the home stretch, and judgement day is just days away,” Magsino declared to a cheering crowd, leading them in repeated chants of “OFW Party List sa Kongreso — Muli!” (OFW Party List to Congress — Again!).
Her speech served as a reflection on the campaign’s challenges and successes, highlighting the sacrifices made by her team, who she said worked tirelessly despite limited resources.
Magsino contrasted her grassroots campaign, built on trust and a two-decade track record of advocacy, with the more financially-resourced campaigns of her opponents. She emphasized that her campaign did not rely on buying votes but on earning the trust of the people through integrity and genuine connection.
She also directly addressed criticism regarding accusations of self-serving motives, asserting that her commitment has always been to the OFW community and upholding her principles.
Expressing gratitude to her family, supporters, party nominees, and campaign staff, Magsino concluded the rally with a powerful call to action, reiterating her commitment to fighting for the rights and a better future for all OFWs and Filipinos.
