PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte both experienced a decline in their trust ratings in September 2025, according to a recent survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The survey, commissioned by think tank Stratbase, revealed a decrease in public trust for both leaders compared to June of this year.
Marcos’ “much trust” rating fell to 43% in September, down from 48% in June, with 36% of respondents expressing “little trust” and 21% remaining “undecided.” Duterte’s “much trust” rating also decreased, from 61% in June to 53% in September, while 28% indicated “little trust” and 18% were “undecided.”
In response to the survey results, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro emphasized President Marcos’ commitment to combating corruption and improving the lives of Filipinos.
She stated that the President is working tirelessly to uplift the lives of each Filipino amidst the calamities the country is facing. The survey was conducted nationwide from September 24 to 30, 2025, with a margin of error of ±3% for national percentages.
