ILAGAN CITY, Isabela — At the DAR Region II 2026 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ (ARB) Summit, House Speaker Bojie Dy on Thursday reiterated the partnership between the House of Representatives and the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in continuing to support Filipino farmers, stressing the importance of sustained government coordination in improving agricultural productivity and strengthening the livelihoods of agrarian reform beneficiaries across the country.
Speaker Dy was joined by DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, Isabela Governor Rodito Albano III, LPGMA Party-list Representative Allan Ty, Ilagan City Mayor Jay Diaz, and other officials from across Region II.
In his message, the Speaker emphasized the important role of the House as a partner of DAR in implementing programs that directly benefit agrarian reform beneficiaries.
“As your partner—the House of Representatives—you can count on us, Secretary, to continue coordinating and working together so we can further strengthen your programs aimed at helping and supporting our farmers across the country,” said the Speaker Dy in Filipino.
Among the key activities during the summit was the distribution of agricultural machinery and other forms of assistance intended to strengthen farm productivity and improve the livelihoods of farmers in the region.
Prior to the formal program, Speaker Dy also visited booths showcasing various local products from the provinces of Region II. He likewise joined DAR personnel and local officials for a boodle fight luncheon.
Speaker Dy also gamely joined the trending “Hawak Mo Ang Beat” dance craze as a simple gesture of appreciation for the leadership of DAR, drawing cheers and excitement from attendees at the event.
