IN view of an illicit social media post embarking on a serious threat on Filipino journalists, Metro Sun finds it rather imperative to issue a clarificatory statement.
For one, Metro Sun has nothing to do with a certain Seth Corteza, who claims affiliation with our online daily newspaper.
Corteza is not – and was never part of our lean news organization since we took off in 2020.
Likewise, we are strongly denouncing what appears to be another attempt to infuse a culture of impunity that has taken the lives of hundreds of Filipino journalists in the last three decades.
