THE Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality, chaired by Senator Risa Hontiveros, has lifted the contempt order on Sheila Guo, the sister of former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo (also known as Guo Hua Ping) Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
The committee directed the Office of the Sergeant-At-Arms (OSAA) to transfer Sheila to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in accordance with a Mission Order issued to her by the bureau.
In the same hearing, Hontiveros confronted Yang Jian Xin, also known by multiple aliases including Tony Yang and Antonio Maestrado Lim, regarding his numerous identifies used in various government documents such as birth certificate, driver’s license and taxpayer’s identification number (TIN).
Yang, who admitted that he’s a Chinese national, is the elder brother of Michael Yang, the former economic advisor to former president Rodrigo Duterte.
Yang was apprehended by officers of the Bureau of Immigration last September 19 for being classified as an undesirable alien. Hontiveros revealed during the hearing that Yang was listed as the president of Oro One Corporation, a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) service provider to Xionwei, a company linked to Lin Weixion, also known as Alan Lim, a central figure in the Pharmally controversy.
The committee is investigating POGO alleged linked to human trafficking and other illegal activities.
