AIRPORT officials are already on the site to inspect a Saudia Airlines plane from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which veered off the runway of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Monday afternoon.
In a radio report, the plane, Boeing 777-368 aircraft with flight number SV862, landed in Manila at around 1:47 p.m. and was en route to NAIA Terminal 1 when the incident occurred.
The report said the plane’s wheels went beyond the cemented portion of the affected taxiway, overshooting towards the muddy portion of the landing field.
Flights at the airport were unhampered. No passengers were hurt in the incident but they were forced to be evacuated from the plane at the taxiway.
