HOUSE Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos, son of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., has informed the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) that he is “willing to appear before the Commission at any time” regarding the flood control probe.
In a letter received by the ICI on Thursday, Marcos stated, “Let me state this clearly and without hesitation: I am willing to appear before the Commission at any time. I welcome the opportunity to shed light on any matter that may assist your review.” He added that he is ready to cooperate, answer questions, and provide any clarification needed to move the investigation forward.
The ICI has acknowledged Marcos’s willingness to appear and stated that it will convene soon to decide when to invite him. ICI spokesperson Brian Hosaka said that the commission will need to convene and decide on when the congressman will be available for a hearing.
Hosaka also noted that it is possible that the meeting would be live streamed, as the commission is open to any information and considers it a significant matter when someone voluntarily appears and testifies under oath.
