THE camp of Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Wednesday said it has yet to receive any official complaint from the Office of the Ombudsman, as it firmly denied allegations of wrongdoing.
In a statement, lawyer-spokesperson Atty. Ade Fajardo said, “We have not received any official copy of the alleged complaint from the Office of the Ombudsman.”
Fajardo added that the former Speaker “categorically and unequivocally” rejects the accusations, stressing that Romualdez “has acted at all times within the bounds of law.”
The spokesperson underscored the need to observe proper procedure, saying, “We expect due process to be observed. Once formally furnished, we will respond fully before the proper forum.”
Romualdez’s camp maintained readiness to answer the allegations once official notice is received.
