SENATORS Bong Revilla, Francis Tolentino, and Cynthia Villar have conceded defeat in the recently concluded May 12, 2025, midterm elections.

In separate statements released earlier today, all three acknowledged the results and expressed gratitude to their supporters while calling for national unity moving forward. The three veteran politicians, all known for their significant contributions to the Senate, leave behind a legacy of legislative work and public service.

Senator Revilla, in his statement, thanked his constituents for their unwavering support throughout his political career. He emphasized his commitment to continuing his public service, albeit outside of the Senate.

He expressed his hope for a smooth transition of power and urged Filipinos to unite behind the newly elected officials to ensure the country’s progress. His message focused on a peaceful acceptance of the election results and a call for collaboration in addressing the nation’s challenges.

Senator Tolentino, known for his legal expertise and contributions to various legislative initiatives, echoed similar sentiments. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the Filipino people and emphasized the importance of respecting the democratic process.

He called on all citizens to work together towards a common goal of national development and progress, regardless of political affiliations. His statement highlighted the need for cooperation between the outgoing and incoming senators to ensure a seamless transition.

Senator Villar, a prominent figure known for her advocacy for agriculture and rural development, also issued a statement acknowledging the election results.

She expressed her appreciation for the support she received and highlighted her commitment to continuing her work in service of the nation. She emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in addressing the challenges facing the country, particularly in the agricultural sector.

Her statement focused on a continued commitment to her advocacies and a call for collective action to improve the lives of Filipino farmers and fisherfolk. The concessions from these three prominent figures mark a significant step in the post-election process, promoting a peaceful and unified transition of power.
