Rep. Tulfo elated over Pulse Asia survey making him top choice for 2025 senatorial polls

admin April 3, 2024

HOUSE Deputy Majority Leader and ACT CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo has expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support and trust expressed by the people in the recent Pulse Asia survey.

In a statement on Wednesday, Tulfo said that he is humbling to witness such a high level of confidence in his capacity to serve.

“I want to emphasize that while I deeply appreciate the sentiments of the public, my primary focus remains on fulfilling my duties as the Representative of the ACT-CIS party list. My commitment to advocating for the interests and well-being of the Filipino people remains unwavering through my work in the House of Representatives. I assure you that I will continue to dedicate myself tirelessly to addressing the critical issues facing our nation and upholding the principles of good governance and public service,” the lawmaker said.

“Once again, I extend my sincere gratitude to all those who have supported me, and I pledge to continue working diligently to earn and maintain your trust. Thank you,” he added.

Tulfo, who had 57.1 percentage points, was followed by former Senate president Tito Sotto (51.8) and former President Rodrigo Duterte (47.7).

They were followed by Senator Bong Go (44.2), Senator Pia Cayetano (37.7), and former Senator Manny Pacquiao (33.7).

Rounding up those in the top 12 placers in the survey are Senator Ronald Dela Rosa, Senator Imee Marcos, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., and Makati Mayor Abby Binay.

Just outside the top 12 are former Senator Panfilo Lacson, TV personality Willie Revillame, Senator Lito Lapid, and Dr. Willie Ong.

The respondents were asked to choose as many as 12 names from a list of who they would vote for if the May 2025 senatorial elections were held today.

They are followed by former Senators Francis Pangilinan, Ralph Recto, Gregorio Honasan, and Bam Aquino, Senator Francis Tolentino, former Senator Franklin Drilon, Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro, and former Senator Richard Gordon.

Pulse Asia in an earlier media release said the Ulat ng Bayan survey was conducted from March 6 to 10 among 1,200 respondents and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percent.
