REPRESENTATIVE Paolo Ortega has confirmed that essential food packs and emergency aid are ready and strategically distributed across all towns in the First District of La Union to assist residents affected by Severe Tropical Storm Emong.
Working in close coordination with local government units and national government agencies, Ortega has ensured that critical resources are readily available to address the immediate needs of communities impacted by the storm.
As of 8:00 AM today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 was downgraded, with Signal No. 3 remaining in effect for the northern municipalities of La Union, including Bangar, Sudipen, Balaoan, Luna, Santol, Bacnotan, San Gabriel, Bagulin, San Juan, and the City of San Fernando. Signal No. 2 is in effect for the rest of the province.
