IN a bold move to combat corruption and ensure the integrity of infrastructure projects, a Congressman representing the 5th District of Cebu has announced a personal reward of ₱500,000 for any credible information leading to the discovery of anomalies or irregularities in Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) flood control projects within the district.
Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activity directly to the designated hotline at 0956 279 4183, as well as the national Citizens’ Complaint Hotline 8888.
This initiative comes in direct response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call for a nationwide investigation into flood control projects, prompted by recent reports of alleged corruption and substandard work.
Frasco stated that, following the President’s directive, he immediately requested the DPWH Regional Office to conduct a comprehensive review of all flood control projects within the 5th District of Cebu.
Frasco emphasized his unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability in government-funded projects, vowing to never tolerate any irregularities or substandard work.
By offering a substantial reward for credible information, the Congressman hopes to incentivize citizens to come forward and play an active role in ensuring that public funds are used effectively and that flood control projects are executed to the highest standards, protecting communities from the devastating effects of flooding.
