Rep. Erwin Tulfo to seek out abusive traders, will consider importation of onion to stabilize prices

admin April 8, 2024

THE House of Representatives leadership, in coordination with the House Committee on Agriculture and other government agencies, is closely looking at the current state of local farmers, particularly those producing onions, and studying options to address the same.

Erwin Tulfo said.

According to Rep. Tulfo, there is a need to actively seek out and police these traders who take advantage of unwitting local farmers, which ultimately affects the market prices of onions being offered to the general public.

Tulfo shared. He assured that the House of Representatives will not stop at anything to fulfill their mandate to protect and uphold the rights and interests of the Filipinos, especially the local farmers.
